I was concerned about the notice period as well. It seems a little unprofessional on work front, to leave without proper handover🙁

Your company won’t think twice before replacing you. Rules are there for such scenarios.

I am not sure but the course that starts from April is an online module that you can attend parallelly with your Notice period.

Second Waitlist in as many years.

Here's how it went down last year.

Depending on which adcom session/alum you asked, answers were as varied as "Along with Round-2 results" to "Along with Round-3 results" to someplace in between. Would recommend not setting unrealistic expectations, results will come when they come. If you want to have a plan-B (US Round-2 deadlines are in Jan), now is the time to start. Mailing etc asking for an update does not help.

I got rejected last time in R2, last year results were coming on rolling basis and waitlisted from R1 got cleared with results of R2. So I think we can expect in January end to Feb start.

But the process and timeline is going to cumbersome. We probably aren’t going to hear anything now till feb/March.

Sounds about right. If you say 60-80 seats? Given 95% acceptance

So 20% of offered candidates don’t join

Not a ball park number. This might go up based on the acceptances and deferrals.

I am sure a lot of people would be pushing for deferrals as well.

And look for US options too
