Post MBA Goals:
I hope to switch to consulting (financial consulting, ops or strategy consulting) and plan B is to stay in the financial services sector (IB or Commercial Banking). I am not sure if a career switch would make my application less desirable to AdComs and any advice regarding this would be appreciated
In my opinion, UK and European b-schools would be a better fit given my age and GMAT score. I would like to get some suggestions about which schools I can target. Also, will Canada be a good option for me?
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Aayush,
Thanks for sharing your profile and MBA aspirations.
My name is Priyanka, Client Manager at
ARINGO.
You have a very interesting profile! From what I can see:
Academics – Having both Bachelor’s and Master’s is good. Additional certifications demonstrate your willingness to learn and grow 😊.
Work Experience –Your experience is good and the impact of the work is quantified well. Good promotions and managerial skills add more value. However, the overall experience & age is on a higher side than the class average of B schools. Also, no international experience is another missing aspect from your profile.
Extracurricular activities/Volunteer Work – Being involved in CSR activities coupled with some interesting hobbies- Good!
Schools – Considering all the factors (including your GMAT), you can apply to HEC, IESE, IMD as a stretch. More realistic: IE, ESADE, Bocconi, ESMT, RSM in EU or Warwick, Manchester, Imperial or Cass in the UK (Basically any school that isn’t INSEAD, LBS, OXFORD, Cambridge)
And yes, can apply to Canadian schools too (mainly if you can show some sort of experience working with international teams).
All in all, sounds like you have a good profile (barring a few points)! If you send me your CV and other info on
PRIYANKAK@ARINGO.com, I would love to connect you with our CEO who will be happy to help further with a detailed review and perhaps work together on some amazing apps.
All the best.
