Congrats...what was your GMAT score?

770

but i’ve seen 680 get interviews too, looks like it’s been very random

i think scores is only 10% of factor for GSB, maybe 30% for Cornell, also both are rolling so maybe haven’t even read many applications (especially johnson)

yes, especially if the status says “Submitted” that means they haven’t read it yet

For cornell

Do we have to give ielts/TOEFL to apply to cornell? I have completed my undergraduation from an english speaking institute in India.

you’ll need a proof of that though from your university. some universities mention it in the transcript itself, some don’t. i had to get a separate certificate of medium of instruction from my university, so do check in advance or you’ll end up rushing the last minute

Anyone from India got an interview invite ?

How will i get that proof. i have the transcripts and i studied in a Christian college. Are the transcripts enough? or the degree certificate or anything?

From India, no invite yet. I’ve heard Cornell is notoriously slow in giving invites though.

For all of those wondering, my application status still says “Submitted”. I haven’t yet received an interview invite.

Do we think interview invites will continue to roll out over the next few weeks or mostly all have been issued? I know that the “initial notification” deadline is Nov 4 but from what I understand, most invites are issued well before that date.

Check if your transcripts states medium of instruction as english, if not contact your program office and ask for the attested medium of instruction certificate

I agree- went back to prior year forums and looks like Johnson is slow to roll out invites. Any US citizens applying for the Park Fellowship hear anything?

do they explicitly mention that your primary medium of instruction was english? if no, then you have to contact your university and ask them for a proof/certificate for the same. my transcripts didn’t mention this, so i had to get it from the university separately

Ya got it thank. I found my college leaving certificate where it is mentioned that my medium of instruction is english. Thank you so much.

Also, can anyone please help me with the essay. Like a brief about it?
