A brief on ISB

Hi iamsiddharthkapoor, the main content of the session was the same. The alum interaction was more relatable as it was somebody who transitioned from Infosys to Product Management post ISB.

elPatron434 thanks for the information. I think it would be much more useful for the interested audience if ISB mentions in the webinar description the details of the alum who will be available during the webinar.

Have a question -

I'm targeting to apply for ISB R1, for which the deadline is Sept 20th.
If I write the GMAT around 10th-15th Sept, will it be considered for R1 eligibility?

Hi san95mba,
Yes you can. You should submit the unofficial score report and the official one should reach ISB within 3 weeks of submission of your application.

Hope this helps.

Hi

Just a question, How do we ensure the official report is submitted to ISB within 3 weeks?
Doesn't GMAC send that directly, provided we choose ISB as one of the schools before giving the GMAT?

Jul 8, 2020

dushyantkanal yes, GMAC will directly send the Official Score Report, which is available within 20 days of the GMAT, to all the schools that were selected before the exam.

I am not sure if centers will open in August, but good chance that they might open in September. So if I take my GMAT is first week of september or by 15th, can I submit the scores I receive at the center, or it has to be complete transcripts that are sent 20 days later that have to be submitted?

Thanks

Hi randomavoidplease

The R1 deadline is 20th Sep, and you can take your GMAT even on 20th Sep and submit the (unofficial) scores received at the center in the app. While ISB requires that you do send your official scores to the school, your application can be submitted with unofficial scores.

Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.

Hi coldmass, I would recommend that you reach out to the school once for clarification. In the test centre version of the GMAT you get an unofficial version of the score which you may submit. I"m not entirely sure of how ISB would accommodate this with the Online GMAT where there's a delay in receiving the scores.

Hope this helps!

Here. This is from the FAQ section of ISB's website:
Can I apply with a Test Centre score report of the GMAT / GRE?
Yes, you can. The application can be submitted along with the test centre/unofficial score report. The official score report from Pearson VUE (GMAT) / ETS (GRE) should reach the Admissions Team within three weeks of application submission.

ISB typically takes about 3 weeks before sending interview invites, so you will be good. Now the big task for you is to get a competitive GMAT score :)

Thank You MBADecoder,
Were you able to find anything on the online GMAT? Since there is a window after which the scores are revealed, does it mean that the people who don't receive their online GMAT scores by the 20th can't apply in R1?

Online GMAT scores come out within a week. Some candidates hear back in 3-4 days.
When we are discussing about GMAT dates 2 months before the deadline, then applicants should ensure they complete their exam so as to submit unofficial scores on the submission date. last minute GMAT taking is stressful to say the least and if the score spirals down on test day, then it can spoil quite a few plans.

Here's more from the FAQ page:
How long does it take for the Official GMAT / GRE scores to reach ISB?
Once you report the scores, it takes up to three weeks for the official scores to reach us.
Will I be considered for the deadline if I send my GMAT / GRE scores later?
You will not be allowed to submit your application without a valid GMAT / GRE score. However, you can submit the application with your test centre score report.
