This is what is mentioned on the ISB webite: "GMAT/GRE scores are valid for 5 years. The score needs to be valid on the day of your enrolment in the PGP Class."

the website (https://www.isb.edu/en/study-isb/post-g ... sions.html) says

the website (https://www.isb.edu/en/study-isb/post-g ... sions.html) says "4) GMAT/GRE Test Score: Provide a valid GMAT or GRE score.
GMAT and GRE scores are valid for five years from the date you take the test. Since we require the GMAT or GRE for admission, you must take the test before submitting your application. The scores you report must be valid as of the deadline date of the round in which you apply."

However, the application portal says "Validity of the Score: The candidate’s GMAT/GRE score is valid only for a period of FIVE years from the date the exam taken. Please ensure that your score is valid as on the time of commencement of the programme you have been selected for." Hence, better to let ISB know of the mismatch. As I said, for the 2021 intake, the application deadline bit was considered for a number of people.

Hi, I have a question. I have my first GMAT attempt on 12th July. When should I start preparing for ISB applications? A lot of consultants are saying that I should start now as it takes 3-4 months.

Hi, I’ll be completing 2 years of work experience in July’ 21. How does this affect my chances of applying to ISB? A little background -

I am currently working in a major Technology MNC and have worked on products which have impacted over 2 million users at launch. I’ve also mentored colleagues higher than me in designation at work and have done some work with an NGO. Academic Background - Have graduated from a top engineering college in India with a CGPA of 8.35

45 days are more than enough for ISB

what is the application deadline for Cycle 1, is it 1st Sep 2021 or 30 Sept 2021.

Jun 4, 2021

it is yet to be announced

going by last few years could be 15th or 20th

You can apply. However, you will need to intimate ISB adcom that your GMAT score will reach them by a certain date (typically within 7-10 days of the application deadline)

Hii guys, please assist with hobbies. My hobbies are playing Pokemon go, mermaid swimming and shooting. Are these okay to be included in application or should I state my other more generic hobbies such as listening music, playing guitar. Thanks

SagarJaiswal, I can’t tell if you’re serious, haha. But regardless, ’weird’ is good. Unique is something that adcoms enjoy seeing, though I am not a consultant so take my words with a grain of salt

Absolutely..it has to be the truth and nothing’s weird. Would you have this doubt if it were Counter Strike? :) Pokemon Go is a $1bn revenue generating game. Just study the business aspects of it. Would make for a good conversation in the interview. I’ve picked such topics in the past when I was on the panel.
