Calling all Johnson(Cornell) Applicants: (2016 Intake) Class of 2018!! : Johnson

Jun 21, 2015

we are looking for a candidate who is unique, motivated, and more. During the application, you should be able to highlight your experience, academic performance, and more. We want someone who understands our program and is a good fit. - Eddie Asbie, Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Cornell.

We look at your application holistically. While a weak undergraduate record can be a concern, we do look at your work experience and standardized scores as well. In the end, your application will be reviewed along with all other applications in the round. The stronger your application is overall the better. - Kim Szpiro, Assistant Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Cornell.

I chose Cornell for a few reasons. Firstly, I knew that a large part of the MBA experience was learning from your classmates and so to get the richest experience I'd want the most diverse class. I felt that Cornell offered the most diverse class between my choices. Secondly, I enjoy outdoor activities and Ithaca offers a great variety of fun activities to keep me active outside of the classroom. Lastly, from a personal point. My wife could not relocate with me to Ithaca and so we'll have to travel back and forth from each other's locations. She'll remain in the NYC area and so frequent trips back and forth from Ithaca were much easier than my other option (Tepper) - David, Current first year at Cornell

In for Round 1! :)

Good luck!

Jun 23, 2015

At a groundbreaking ceremony on June 16, Cornell Tech announced a $100 million gift from Bloomberg Philanthropies that will help fund the construction of the campus. The first academic building on the new campus will be named the Bloomberg Center, honoring Emma and Georgina Bloomberg, the daughters of former NY mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Cornell Tech is a partnership between Cornell and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, aimed at promoting high-tech entrepreneurship in New York City. In 2011, Cornell and the Technion won a bid to create an applied sciences institution on Roosevelt Island to foster high tech innovation in New York City.

The campus currently occupies temporary space in Manhattan. The new campus—the first phase of which is slated for completion in 2017—will house approximately 2000 graduate students and hundreds of faculty and staff on Roosevelt Island. The design of the buildings has already garnered attention and praise for innovation and sustainability.

At Cornell Tech, the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute promotes innovation in key areas, including Connective Media, Health Tech and the Built Environment.  They also offer an entrepreneurially-focused post-doc program for recent Ph.D.s who are interested in launching their own startups—the Runway Program. Cornell Tech offers degrees in conjunction with Cornell’s Engineering School and its Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Hi everyone,

Class visits are up for September!

However, I couldn't register online (it seems like the Register option doesn't work). Has any of you tried registering for a class visit?

Thank you!
