The essays for 2023 entry are as follows:

Essay One

Describe your short-term and long-term post-graduation goals.
Given the fluctuation of economic and industry hiring trends, identify a backup plan should your short-term goal not be immediately attainable.
How does your past education and experience support your career objectives?
Lastly, what aspects of your intended Simon Business School program make it a good choice for your graduate study?

Essay Two

the MBA Class of 2024*—by the numbers:
107 – Expected enrollment for the MBA Class of 2024
28 – Countries of citizenship
5.9 – Average years of work experience
38 – Percentage of US students that are African American, Black, Hispanic American, or Native American
44 – Percentage of women students
2.8–3.9 – Middle 80% undergraduate GPA
620–720 – Middle 80% GMAT score
28 – Average age

Fall 2023 entry opens on August 15

With just about two weeks until Simon Business School’s application for Fall 2023 entry launches, I wanted to reach out with a few tips on several aspects of your application that you can be working on right now. Get ready to apply when our application goes live on August 15 by crossing a few items off your to-do list ahead of time!


Résumé

We require a business formatted résumé (not a CV) and recommend it be no longer than two pages.
Focus on quantifying your accomplishments and be sure to keep the formatting clean and easy to read.

Essays

Using our essay prompts, brainstorm a few bullet points for each answer to make it easier for when you sit down to write.
While writing your essays, stick to the word limit and be sure to fully answer the question being asked.
In addition to two required essays, we have an optional essay that you can use to share information with the Admissions Committee that you believe is important in the evaluation of your candidacy, including context around employment gaps or a difficult academic period.

References

Reach out to two people who can affirm your professional strengths to ask them if they would be comfortable providing a reference for you to speak on your post-business school goals and motivation. We do not accept recommendation letters, however the Admissions Committee may contact your references during the application review process for additional perspective.
We recommend choosing professional references if at all possible—this can include an internship supervisor if you have limited work experience.

Yes, originally. But I wasn’t able to find a good travel date so they are accommodating a virtual interview.
