Pearson VUE Chennai is GREAT

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

The test center was located in the main road and was easy to locate. The facility was well maintained and quiet. The staff were considerate of the nervous test takers and were always ready to help and guide with whatever questions we had. However one down side was there was only one restroom for men and women each. Even though the facility was located in main road, it had no sounds coming from external environment. The test center also has sound proof head sets for each computer and it was super effective.

The overall experience was GREAT and I would highly recommend that you book your GMAT exam here in this facility at Aminjikarai.

Good centre to take GMAT test

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Key factors -
Location - It is quite far from OMR Road. So, I had to travel for around 2 hrs to reach center.
Ambiance - Ambiance is good. There was no external disturbance and controllers were co-operative.
Technical - Computers were Good.

Thanks

As this is a pearson centre , everything went well. Exam started at right time. Proctors were very helpful. Higly recommend this Centre in chennai. Air Conditioning is good. You can have snacks during breaks. They will not allow you out during break. They are asking for passport. Not sure if they allow you without passport.

Thanks and Regards
Anudeep

Chennai GMAT test center

I have heard many stories about how horrible a test center can be and many of my friends faced various issues at their test centers. After hearing those reviews, i was more than afraid about the environment inside and outside the test center. I was praying that there shall not be any construction site or market near the center and inside the center no problems shall be there. Believe me the experience was awesome. The faculty is very friendly. The center is a very comfortable place with no or minimal disturbances. As students appearing for different exams type through so keyboard sounds might bug you a little but that is also well managed by separating every student by sound proof barriers and you will also get one noise cancellation headsets. Personally i dont like those headsets as they generally are very tight for obvious reasons and also I would suggest Pearson Vue to use ear plugs instead.

All in all that place is a very comfortable place with no issues at all.

A friendly one

Generally, the day you schedule your exam, several things run through your mind, but when the exam date comes its all about the test center and your presence of mind that decides your score. I think this center is amazing in assisting you w.r.to additional sheets and other aspects of your exam, reducing your stress. The exam personnel and office members are friendly and consider your preferences if any w.r.to the timing or the order you need to be sent in (so that if you have any meetings, you could come out soon or you can catch up your train). I recommend people to opt this if you could get the appointment.

test day experience

Hii All,
Finally took the test.Didnt fare that well, but would still like to share the whole experience and the do's and dont's that i feel should have been followed by me.
The test center of chennai was far from where i live and it took me more than 2 hours to reach. My test was scheduled at 1 but i reached by 12 and got to start my test by 12:30 PM.
The whole process of verification of identity and biometrics was smooth and the test center was good if not great.
Since my timing was clashing with my lunch timing ,I had to carried a bottle of hydrating drinks and some chocolate bars for the breaks.
The AWA and IR went well and then i moved to the quants section after a short break. The section started well and the initial questions were pretty straignt forward. The section went well with some tricky questions appearing around Q10.Since i hadnt taken too many mock due to my extensive travelling job,I was rushing throug the section in the first half hour. This allowed me to relax a bit in the middle section but this is where i think i screwed up.I overestimated my capabilities and was in a fix towards the end of the section.I had to rush through last 4 -5 questions which i feel i got wrong and resulted in a below par score of Q45.

My take aways :How much well prepared you are or good at any topic ,taking timed test is the key for the exam day.Appearing mocks is the most important thing.Little upset but i think i can manage this animal next time.Tightening my belt and getting ready for one more shot in a short while.only worry is i am little late for 2017 cycle.

All the best to everyone else planning to write GMAT in near future. Please take aa many times test as possible.

thanks

Pearson Professional Centers

Pearson Professional Centers, Nelson Chambers 'E' Block, 115, Nelson Manickam Rd, Rajaram Mehta Nagar, Aminjikarai, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600029

The place is located behind the Ampa Skywalk. Although it is located in the city limits, I find it somewhat difficult to reach as there was a huge traffic around the areas. If you are coming from outskirts of the city, you need to start 2 hours before provided if you are coming by your own transport. If you are using public transport coming from outskirts of the city, it will take huge time for you to reach.

I used google navigation to find the place as I was not much aware of this area. This is highly recommended as it will also update you about the current traffic situation.

Staffs were much helpful starting from verification process till the end of the exam. The facilities such as lockers and restrooms were not bad.

The place is silent and manageable. However only during AWA, it was noisy as there was too much typing and since the place is too small.
