GMATCLUB.com claims that these are the hardest quant tests in the market, but I respectfully disagree. Manhattan Mocks have difficult quant portion than these tests.

Pros -
1. Large question pool.

2. Questions relevant to the GMAT - one won't find questions which are not relevant to the GMAT. GMATClub must have given great efforts to sort the questions out, more so for the fact that they have a huge number of difficult quant level questions. Almost every difficult and super difficult level question has a solution that would take 2 or at max 3 minutes. This is important since as a GMAT taker one needs to practice GMAT like content.

3. Of all the mocks I have given, except for the official mocks, gmatclub mocks have the closest user interface to the actual gmatprep and the actual GMAT exam.

Cons -
1. Filled with bugs, pausing the test at times just finishes the test thereby awarding a score of 6.

2. GMATclub moderator team - they would block your account for no reason (I was given kudos inflation as the reason). They won't even reply to your queries. I already had the mocks subscribed through e-gmat verbal online and there was no reason for me to indulge in their so called 'kudos inflation'. Now, this was done 2 weeks before my actual GMAT exam and they could give you unnecessary trouble at any moment.

3. Algorithm - It is far from the GMATPrep and hence actual GMAT. It would randomly award you a Q51 or a Q50 with a large number of incorrect questions I once got a Q51 with 10 incorrect answers. Be aware that it doesn't happen in the actual gmatprep - I had given 7 gmatprep mocks (I gave gmatprep 1 twice) and I analyzed those mocks thoroughly. There is a huge, and when I say huge I really mean huge gap between the algorithms of gmatprep and gmatclub. I got Q49 in EP2-2 with 4 incorrect answers (Q no. 17, 25, 36 and 37 incorrect) and a Q51 on EP1-2 with only 2 incorrect (somewhere around 20 and 35). Gmatclub.com algorithm would have awarded a Q51 in both the cases.

4. Verbal - Stick to official content for verbal and if you really want extra practice, one's next and final stop should be the content developed by Manhattan. Don't waste your time on verbal questions from any other content provider and this applies to Gmatclub as well. Lines of reasoning on verbal portion, especially CR and RC, from gmatprep and any other provider is quite different. One may use the gmatclub.com verbal mocks for essentially working on timing issues. However, one should not fret too much on the incorrect questions, particularly if one involves tuning a strategy or approach, since GMAC doesn't think the way others think. The importance of sticking to official content cannot be overstated.

Verbal Learning - Made Easy

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement 110 Points

Course e-GMAT Online Focused

Location Online

I used the course only for Sentence Correction, though I had purchased the full Verbal Online course for the gmatclub.com mocks, and scholaranium access. I didn't need much preparation for RC so I studied only MGMAT RC Strategy Guide and for CR I referred Powerscore Critical Reasoning Bible. I had heard from a lot of people that these resources are better than E-Gmat and hence I relied on proven tried and tested resources for each section.

Pros -
1. Interactive way of learning.

2. Some difficult portions do become easy thanks to the audio-video mode of learning, especially the if-then constructions, verb tenses, subjunctive, etc. Memorizing becomes easy. It is a scientifically proven fact that one's visual memory is superior to one's auditory memory and their course content clubs them both together. Helps you in retaining the concepts.

3. Huge question pool - scholaranium packs in a large amount of gmat like questions. The analysis in scholaranium also helps one gauge his current ability score. Takt time embedded in scholaranium is also a good tool to analyze timing habits.

4. Neatly organized content, divided properly into sections and strategy sessions and excels detailing schedule are provided. These tools help you stay on track. Though I believe the order of appearance should be modified, it still is a nice that the content is organized section-wise.

5. E-Gmat team has done extensive research for GMAT and they have put in a lot of efforts in analyzing each of the OG questions.

6. A huge number of satisfied customers, some of them, whom I personally know.

7. Comes with Gmatclub, com mocks - these mocks are a great source for quant practice.

Cons -
1. Quality improvements are needed - a lot of sessions have some missing words or extra irrelevant information. For e.g. the article 'learn how that can help demystify' has useless content at the end and for some sessions like these the answers are not provided. This doesn't look good for a test prep company claiming to be the number one in GMAT preparation. Some repetition is there, especially in the articles section.

2. Questions after a particular session don't test concepts from that session only, but they also test concepts from other sessions. For e.g. the subject-verb session, in the beginning, has questions which rely on modifiers and idioms as well. Incorrect answers then demotivate the learner.

3. Some concepts are conveniently omitted, such as an idiom variety I remember in the idioms section. Some incorrect knowledge is imparted, such as "distinguish from" according to E-Gmat is wrong.

4. There is no option to increase the speed of the videos - this takes up a lot of time as the pace of the videos is a little slow and for a fast grasper it would be convenient if the video speed can be increased (optionally of course to say 1.5 times). Even youtube provides this option.

I have used two services for my MBA admissions 1) ApplicantLab 2) Blind interview with Maria
1) The Lab – first of all, she has put all her passion and love in this lab, so how can it not be so Awesome as it is!!! Those of you who are going to get started with this research lab will not take more than a few minutes to start realizing the same. This tool is the best thing that has happened for MBA applicants. The beauty of this invention is that it keeps guiding you to keep you on the right track and you get to learn, research, and explore your stories all by yourself. It was fun for me because I found the lab like an experiential learning - it’s not going to spoon-feed you but let you find you the right spoon and the right food for yourself. To get the most value out of this lab, it is best to follow all the steps and do the exercises then and there.
2) Blind interview with Maria – this one helped me most with my interviews. This session will save you if you are already late in the process and have no idea what to do! She gave me more than the time allotted for his call. In over 90 mins, she asked me a set of questions (listened to my answers with absolute attention) and in the end, took each question in detail and told me what needed to be spoken and what not and also how. She evaluated my stories and ideas and put them into the right buckets. She also suggested me to add a few points which I had not thought could be included that way and made the responses more beautiful than ever. After this session, I became extremely confident about my content, and I believe this confidence shaped everything else right for me. The way she puts her efforts, attention, and analysis to better the answers is something I have not found elsewhere. Previously, I was reluctant to put money into a mock interview that can be easily done by friends and peers. But after this session, I realized that the value this session returns is unparalleled and the amount she is charging for this service is much much much less in comparison to what she is delivering for you.
Love you Maria! The world of ‘MBA admissions’ was never easy without this lab!
