An Amazing Coach

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I worked with Jenifer through Fortuna admissions for my MBA application, mostly focusing on INSEAD. Jenifer sold me on her warm and genuine personality the firs time we met through the free 1 hour consulting call. I took Fortuna’s 8-hour services to refine my resume and essays and polish my interview skills.

Throughout the process, she continuously encouraged me to be myself and share my authentic story in the essays. She patiently reviewed through all my drafts and helped me hit some impossible word count limits. Her patience is one of the best thing that supported me through a very challenging time of application.

I was beyond grateful to receive offers and Forte fellowship from all top MBA programs (INSEAD, LBS, Yale SOM, Columbia, Kellogg) and highly recommend Jenifer to anyone going through the MBA application process.

Rachel is Great!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

After striking out on all my applications in round one (after working on my applications by myself), I decided to turn to an admissions consultant with only about 3-4 weeks left before the deadline for round 2. Rachel was incredible. She was extremely responsive, intelligent, and thoughtful. My essays and resume were magnitudes better from her edits and comments, and I got into MBA programs I wanted in round 2! She also has continued to reach out with advice on waitlist strategies, and just generally checking in. I would HIGHLY recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a consultant - I couldn't be happier with the results.

Emma Bond - Best for LBS

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I had the pleasure of working with Emma for my LBS MBA application. Her LBS admissions committee experience and personal links to the existing LBS adcom shone through. She was very aware about what LBS was looking for specifically in each of the application questions, and tailored my application to align with LBS' values perfectly. She also pushed me to think out of the box and took my application to a much higher level than what I would have produced on my own. To top it all off, she is an extremely lovely person and was an absolute joy to work with.

I was thrilled to receive an LBS MBA offer and scholarship and highly recommend Emma to anyone on the same journey.

Taniel Believed in Me

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

My experience with Fortuna can be summarized in four words – They understand the assignment!

Taniel was the catalyst who helped me get into my dream school. As a first-generation Black male with an untraditional professional background and an underprivileged upbringing, I was apprehensive about seeking help from a prestigious MBA admissions team, as I did not fit the typical candidate profile. However, Judith and Taniel went above and beyond to ensure that my story was clear, and that my application was competitive.

After explaining to Judith my background, shortcomings, and goals – she promised that I would be in the best hands with Taniel. Taniel did not disappoint. He was candid with his feedback, on-time with his delivery, and stopped at nothing to give me the best of his skills. He brought out the key pieces in my story while making sure I can speak the language of my target school. Not even holiday travel could stop Taniel from giving me his best. He was invested into my success on a personal level, as evident in the passion he used while coaching me to success.

With a sub 700 GMAT score and less than three weeks of work I was admitted to Wharton, Columbia, Kellogg, and Booth – with scholarship money. I am now on a path to change the trajectory of my lineage, and I have Taniel and the team at Fortuna to thank. To anyone in my shoes (or from my background) who may be apprehensive to work with a consulting team – you can bet on Fortuna. Judith and Taniel are empathetic admissions experts, and they get us.

An amazing partnership!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

The process of applying for Master in Management programs was long and tedious. However, Sharon was there every step of the way and I could not be more grateful. She helped me select the perfect extracurriculars, research programs to apply to, and finish my applications. She had a lot of knowledge about different aspects of the applications. For example, she knew exactly what admissions boards want to see in your resume and essays. Moreover, she would help me manage my stress as I completed my applications and awaited the results. With her help, I was accepted into the Georgetown and U-Michigan MiM programs. I could not recommend working with Sharon enough!

Beyond Expectation

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Working with Karen was an amazing experience. She was very insightful with her guidance and was always very helpful with her reviews and feedback. I had intended to pay for a few hours for high-level reviews, but after the first set of reviews, I knew I needed to get her insights on all of my applications. She helped present the best version of my story in the clearest term to all my schools. My confidence applying to the schools dramatically improved by the time I was submitting my final applications given the level of guidance I had received from her. She was recommended to me by a friend that studied in booth, I have been admitted to 2 M7 schools so far, including my dream school, and I am going to be recommending her, highly, to all my friends with an ambition to attend top MBA schools.

Exactly what I needed

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I decided to work with Patty for a few reasons, but the deciding factor was that she believed in me; from our first conversation, I truly felt like she understood my story and believed I had a fighting chance at getting into my first choice schools. Her confidence and support did not waver.

Patty and I worked together on my two R1 full-time MBA applications (i.e., Stanford, MIT). For context, we worked together on an hourly basis as I had a good sense of what schools I wanted to apply to, why I felt like they were a good fit, and generally what I wanted to do post-MBA. I was seeking support with defining and curating my story in order to put the best application forward.

Patty was exactly what I needed. In addition to reading every iteration of my application (from my resume to essays to questionnaires), she helped me refine and perfect my story. She was always quick to reply with thoughtful feedback. I am extremely happy with the results - I will be joining MIT Sloan's MBA Class of 2025. I could not have done it without Patty.

Best of the Best

Silpa was an incredible advisor during the application process. She takes the time to truly know you, your aspirations, and your story. Silpa is very intelligent, professional, and qualified (previous experience in admissions at GSB), putting her in a category by herself. I had full confidence in Silpa throughout the entire process. We had an hourly engagement where I was able to focus our time on what I chose. Silpa was extremely accommodating to busy schedules and was particularly flexible in the week prior to the deadlines, even going above and beyond the normal call of duty. Ultimately, I was admitted to Harvard, Columbia, and MIT. I would highly recommend Silpa for anyone considering applying for an MBA.

Re-applicant to scholar!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

“These b-schools are hyper competitive and I don’t see components that meet the bar.”

This stupendously demotivating piece of advice is the first piece of feedback that I received from an admissions consultant. Partly, I can’t blame them – I’m a part of the infamous IT Indian male cohort. And I’m a reapplicant.

Emma, on the other hand, went against the grain, took a step further and dove deeper into my profile. What she really excels at is understanding which parts of an applicant’s character, work experience, and extra-curriculars appeal to the folks sitting in the admissions office at the absolute top notch international b-schools.

From our very first meeting, I saw her experience stand out. With the dexterity of a well-seasoned surgeon, she cut into my character to understand which parts of story can be tailored to craft the perfect reapplication and stand out in an over-represented group.

She infused my application with, as a Gen Z faithful would say, “main-character energy” (words from my little cousin, not me.) I was reassured that I was in good hands, especially given the financial burden of such services.

The essays were as smooth as can be – each iterative feedback loop was productive, with clear TODOs and the reasons behind proposed changes.

The video essays were the highlight of the service – Emma, being an interviewer herself, was exceptional at giving me a blunt assessment of my mannerisms, for e.g. telling me when my body-language was off. This piece of advice seeped into my in-person interviews as well.

At the end of this process, I’m proud to say that I got to choose between Oxford, INSEAD, and LBS. And with scholarships from INSEAD and LBS! A privileged position to be in, a position that couldn’t have been reached without Emma.

Highly recommend Silpa Sarma!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

It has been such a pleasure to work with Silpa on my full-time MBA applications to Kellogg (A), Tuck (A), and GSB (WL). When I started the admissions process in June of 2022, I didn't think that I had a shot at getting into any business school with my low undergraduate GPA, average test score, and nonlinear personal and professional path. I wanted to work with an admissions coach who would encourage me to shine a light on my story instead of shying away from it. From the very beginning, Silpa was pragmatic about my chances yet invested in my success.

Silpa is super warm, easy to connect with, and an incredible listener. She'd often nudge me to lean into my personal story without losing focus on highlighting my professional strengths and career aspirations. This was instrumental in helping me write essays that were clear, concise, and accurately reflected who I am without diminishing the uniqueness of my journey.

There were times when I was overwhelmed during the application process and really doubted my ability to pull through. But knowing that I had someone like Silpa in my corner, rooting for my success and offering affirmations and guidance, really encouraged me to keep going. I highly, highly recommend her!
