Several of my friends recommended the Manhattan Prep course, so I decided to sign up for the in person classes in Houston. The program transitioned to an online format due to COVID, but I never felt that the quality was compromised.

Jamie Nelson was a superb instructor and was always available outside of class times for questions or guidance. Going into the class, my biggest struggles were time management and test taking strategies. Jamie was able to clearly break-down the structure of the test and explain how to tackle each question type (short-cuts, alternatives to traditional algebra, eliminating answer choices, etc.).

If you're diligent with studying outside of class and stay true to the test taking strategies Jamie teaches you, there's no reason why your score shouldn't improve.

I worked with Mark Sullivan one on one to fine-tune a few skills after completing the Manhattan prep in-person/online nine-week course. Mark was great! He was extremely organized and helped me find out how to squeeze a few more points out of the test. Jamie is an amazing instructor, in addition to being a very nice person and sincerely cares about the students and their progress through the MBA journey. Many times she provided alternate explanations to help us understand how to solve the question in different ways, and was able to manage the different knowledge levels between the students. I really enjoyed the format, teaching style, and classroom of the program. The online platform, books, and mobile app were very well designed and user friendly and I used them until the last test. I took the 9 class GMAT Prep course with Manhattan Prep in the Spring of 2018. I cannot begin to explain how helpful this course was. I ultimately raised my score over 100 points from the first test I took at the beginning of the course until I took the GMAT.

The course is very rigorous and requires a huge time commitment. I think it is smart to sign up and order the books as soon as possible before you begin the course. It would have been very helpful to have reviewed some of the basic Algebra as well as clean up my grammar before the course began.

My instructor was Jamie Nelson and she was very helpful and was always willing to answer my questions as well as everyone else's in the class. She also helped me develop a strong study plan that ultimately help me achieve my desired score. Jamie is a great teacher and I would highly recommend taking her class.

I would highly recommend this course for anyone who is trying to improve their GMAT score.

I took an in-person course with Jamie Nelson, and I highly recommend her class to anyone considering taking the GMAT! Jamie is very engaging, and you can tell that she has many years of experience helping students master the GMAT.

The in-person class was definitely beneficial for me, as I was working full time while trying to prepare for the GMAT. Committing to a Manhattan Prep course helped me to develop a prep routine. I attended the three-hour class once a week and followed the assigned homework very closely. Jamie provided supplemental resources for my weakest content areas to help me master the basics.

When you sign up for the Manhattan Prep In-Person Class, you receive a ton of useful prep resources: Manhattan prep strategy guides, the most recent Official GMAT Guide, access to pre-recorded online lessons, 6 MGMAT practice exams, and the list goes on. Manhattan Prep did an excellent job at helping me prepare for the GMAT. I took the in person course taught by Jamie Nelson (in Houston) who did a great job of covering the base material as well as additional test strategies that can be very helpful. The class provided plenty of material to really get familiar with the types of questions which was a large part of my success. Other than studying the basics of all the topics covered in class, I highly recommend practicing questions until you can identify what type of question they are asking and what they are testing before working the problem. I would recommend this course to my friends. If you have the opportunity to take the course from Jamie, I highly recommend that as well.

The 9 week online course covers most basic concepts that you will see on the real test. The books are fantastic; they provide you with most things you need to know about the GMAT. Great course overall. I tried studying for the GMAT on my own with various books and online resources, and did not see my score significantly improve. The key to the GMAT is that it is not about pure knowledge of grammar rules and mathematical theories - it is about understanding the test-maker's mentality, and the strategies required to beat the exam. This course goes into great detail on how to do just that, from shortcuts and alternate solving methods I would have never considered, to guessing strategies that mirror the test-maker's intent. I tried two other courses and nothing comes close to Manhattan in quality. It really comes down to the quality of their materials, the best instructors in the business (all 99th percentile scorers), the most predictive practice tests, and the fantastic OG tracker to keep track of official guide problems.

When studying on my own, I had hard time knowing what I should study next. Manhattan's syllabus and materials makes it easy to get into a rhythm. If you are serious about scoring above 700 and are willing to put in the time, Manhattan has designed the course and materials to get you there.
