"I interviewed with a 2nd-year student and it was very conversational. Typical interview questions like why an MBA, why Owen, and what am I looking to achieve in my career? I recommend reaching out to a student ambassador to discuss the school and answer any questions so you can be prepared to give solid answers in the interview. They use a special unique platform for interviews, be prepared and email your interviewer with a backup plan, like Zoom, in case it doesn’t work."
"First, the interviewer explained to me a little bit about how she will proceed with the interview. Then she started the interview by introducing herself below are the questions: 1. Walk me through your resume. 2. Why an MBA? 3. Short-term goals? 4. Why Vanderbilt? 5. What are you expecting to get from Vanderbilt? 6. Tell me about a time you led a team? What was the outcome? 7. what other schools did you apply to? 8. How will you contribute to the program? 9. At Owen diversity is very important. What does diversity mean to you? (I stretched this too much, could have cut it short) 10. Any question for me (I made about 3 questions) The total interview lasted 40 min (25 mins interview and 15 mins answering the questions I asked) The interviewer was super friendly and calm"
"I had an interview with 2nd yr MBA student. He was very polite and we had a great talk for about 40 minutes. All those questions that are stated above were asked, but not in line with questioning, it was more in a natural flow of the conversation. I felt really connected."

He asked about my biz venture (cuz it is my current startup); why Mba; why Vandy; contribution to school/community; tell me about a time I led a team; deal with difficult team member then I asked him 3 questions. That’s all"

"07/11/2022. It was very warm interview with current second year student. Here following questions were asked: 1) Tell me about yourself and your career path 2) Short term goal? 3) Why MBA? "The interview started with some technical issues on interview platform so we had to switch to zoom. It was very conversational interview with current second year international student. I do not remember the order of questions but overall questions were based on following lines. 1. Tell me about yourself and your journey 2. Why mba and why now? 3. Why Owen or what was your criteria for shortlisting b-schools? 4. TMAT when you had to overcome a challenge what was your approach and results 5. What is diversity to you and your approach to handle diverse groups of people? 6. What do you like to do outside work and home ij your spare time? 7. TMAT when you had to lead a team 8. Which specialisation(s) do you want to pursue? 9. What are your ST & LT goals? 10. Which other schools have you applied? 11. Your contribution to the Owen 12. Any questions for me? 13. Why east coast only? 14. Why these specialisations Almost every question had multiple follow on questions to get more clarity on the content of the discussion. Overall, it was a great discussion. Initially, it was planned for 30 minutes but we went on discussing each others experiences for over 50-55 minutes."

"Interview followed same general flow of the others posted. Was with a second-year MBA student (although not same career interests). Lasted around 30 minutes with questions below: 1. Brief intro from interviewer, asked that I do the same 2. Walk me through your resume/experience 3. Why do you want an MBA? 4. Short-term goals 5. Why Owen? 6. What other schools are you applying to? 7. Share a time when you needed to develop a skill that was lacking/needed to improve your performance in a specific area, how did this come up, and what was the end result? 8. Share a time when you led a project or team 9. How will you contribute to the community? What do you expect from your classmates? 10. Describe your experience handling diversity 11. Outside of work/school what do you like to do for fun/what are your hobbies? Interview was very conversational. After I answered most of the questions, she often spoke briefly about how well Vanderbilt does XYZ or how it applied to her experiences as well. Overall the interview went well, although it is incredibly hard to tell where you stand in the process since nearly everyone gets an interview after your application is 100% complete."

"My interview was conversational and pretty good, was a 25 min Zoom call and the standard questions were asked -> 1. Walk me through resume? 2. Why Owen? Why MSF? 3. Short term / long term goals? 4. How do you select a B-school? 5. Mistake you made while leading team. Then a follow question pertaining to leading a team 6. How will family and colleagues describe you? 7. How will you fit into the environment at VB? 8. Any questions for me? My tips for those being interviewed - 1) Don't be anxious, its going to a conversational interview; so be calm and be enthusiastic but make sure not to ramble on too much 2) Have a look at the usual list of questions asked and have a general idea of what you might say for those (That's exactly what I did and it really helped) 3) Don't sound like you are reciting a pre-prepped answer, keep it light and good flowing 4) For a few people this is one of their most ambitious schools on their list, so its fine whatever happens, you will learn from this experience and will get better! 5) At the end of the day, you know yourself better than anyone so there is no need to stress. She is pursuing a marketing concentration and hence given my goals - she was assigned My interview was similar to others - I would call it partially conversational as she took a lot of notes and had a few follow up questions on my answers.
