"I just had my interview. I feel really good about it. My adcom made it comfortable and conversational. It was about getting to know me. Very straightforward. They weren’t trying to trick me or quiz me. 1. Why mba? 2. Why now? 3. Why Goizueta? 4. Walk me through your resume, a few follow up or clarification questions. 5. Why your undergrad? 6. What will you bring to Emory? 7. Tell me about your current role and if you oversee anyone. 8. What’s your post mba plan? Which location? 9. What questions do you have for me. They seemed to be on a strict 30 minute limit but I had 6 minutes or so for questions. They didn’t ask if I had talked to any alumni I had spoken with nor any clubs/classes that I was interested in. The adcom had reviewed my resume but not my application. A second person does that and they correlate together and with the team to make a decision."

"Interviewer: Ms. Ashly Galuppo Duration: 30 minutes Ms. Galuppo started by introducing herself and saying that the interview would be conversational. Questions asked: 1. Walk me through your resume 2. What are some projects you have worked on at BPCL? 3. Which accomplishment are you most proud of? 4. Describe one experience where you lead your team. What did you learn from it? 5. Why do you want to do an MBA and why from Goizueta? 6. What is your short term goal and how will Goizueta help you achieve it? 7. What do you like to do in your free time and why? 8. Do you have any questions for me? This was a blind interview meaning that the interviewer did not have access to the application. Hence, one can use content mentioned in essays to answer some interview questions. Tip: Remember to stay calm throughout the interview. That helps a lot!"

"Hello All! I just had my interview with Matt Morgan from the Adcom of Goizueta and he was friendly and cheerful. The interview lasted for exactly 30 mins. Questions asked: 1. Walk me through your work experience - 2-3 mins 2. Why MBA and why now? 3. Why is this a personally good time to do an MBA? (this question was something that I had not thought of/prepared for) 4. What are your short term goals and long term goals? 5. What value did you create in your leadership experience? 6. What would people who know you - clients, coworkers say your strengths are? 7. What do you think your strengths are? 8. What is that motivates you to do what you do and what you wish to do? 9. How did you hear about Emory Goizueta? 10. What is it at Goizueta that will help you achieve your goals - courses, features 11. What would you do for the Goizueta community? 12. What do you do for fun? He gave me few minutes to ask him questions and told me he could connect me with the Career management for specific questions."

"Hi all, I just finished my interview, questions are Walking through your resume, ST career goal after MBA, leadership experiences, why Emory, extracurricular activities and also constructive criticism. It seems like they need to control the time in 30 mins so I only ask one question."

"1) little intro chat about my class visit and events that I engaged with Emory, how they were etc. 2) Tell me about yourself? 3) Why MBA and how it will help you with your goals? 4) Why Emory? when there are other schools for your aspirations that may be better for entrepreneurship? 5) Talk about your startup journey during the pandemic? What challenges did you face? What you did do to cope with them and learn? 6) What is your leadership style? what do you see as the important traits when building an A-star team? 7) What is DEI to you? and tell scenarios to substantiate. 8) who you are outside the class? what sports do you play and where do you play? 9) What do you know about Fellowships at Emory and have you applied to any or thinking to apply? 10) Why do you think you will be able to achieve your post-MBA career goal? Then a little chat over other resources at Emory. It was very conversational and friendly. They are just trying to know you better and check your confidence level."

"Was conversational. Was interviewed by Heather Holland. She made it clear at the beginning that it will be straightforward with no trick questions. 1. How has your thought process evolved through your work experience? 2. How did you recruit in your current firm while at campus? 3. How was your learning in your first role? Was it steep or took some time? 4. Why MBA? Why One Year? Why now? 5. How did you go about shortlisting colleges for MBA? 6. Short term long term goals? 7. What do you know about Atlanta? 8. 2 places you would take anyone to in Mumbai (I stay there) And some more smaller questions on my life. Pleasant experience. Could have done much better. "I had my interview with Susan Mellage and as many people mentioned, she has the most comforting smile during the interview. It was very conversational and she asked me very typical MBA interview questions with some f/u questions. 1. Tell me about yourself? 1-1. Why did I go to Canada and why did I choose to study in the US for my undergraduate study. 2. ST / LT goals 3. Why Goizueta? 4. Why MBA? 5. Leadership experience? 6. Constructive feedback? 7. What are you going to do between now and the class 8. Do you have any questions for me/"

"I had my interview with Libby Livingston. She asked a lot of small follow questions in the middle. I don't remember all of them but trying to jot down the main questions. She was very friendly and the interview felt conversational. 1. Tell me about your professional experience. 2. What do you like most about your current role. 3. Notable professional achievement 4. Among the leaders you have worked with, which of their qualities would you want to emulate and which would you want to avoid? 5. What kind of roles immediately post-MBA and in your internship are you planning to do? And what kind of work do you want to do? 6. Why MBA? 7. Why Goizueta? 8. If you had to go back and do it all over, what would you change or what would you do differently? 9. Is there anything else you would like to discuss? 10. Do you have any questions for me?"

"I had my interview with Susan Mellage. The interview started with Susan asking me to talk about my background, and she also talked about hers. It was very conversational and she was very easy to talk to. 1. Tell me about yourself? 2. Why an MBA and why now? 3. Tell me about a time you led your team to be successful, and why do you think you were successful? 4. Example of a time you got constructive criticism. 5. Short-term and long-term goals. 6. What I would like to get out of the MBA program 7. How I would contribute to the MBA program Overall, I felt like it went great!"

"I scheduled my early interview and appeared for the same on 7th Sept 2021. It was a zoom meeting and conducted by Susan Mellage from Adcom. Susan has a comforting smile and even though it was my first interview, I didn't feel nervous. The interview lasted for exactly 30 minutes. And it was a very general conversational interview. The objective is only to know the candidate more and not to grill them. 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Tell me an instance in which you were in crisis at work. What did you do? What did you learn? 3. Why do you want to gain out of an MBA program? (ST/LT goals) 4. Why Emory? 5. Any instances of leadership you showed at work. 6. One most constructive piece of advice received from someone. Then I was asked if I have any questions, I had quite a few, and she answered them in detail. All in all, it was a very chilled and relaxed interview. My advice to everyone is be yourself. And have authentic stories to tell. Best of luck!!"

"Dear All, I scheduled my early interview and appeared for the same on 2nd Sept 2021. It was a zoom meeting and conducted by Libby Livingston from Adcom. It lasted for 30 minutes only. Please check the questions: 1. Tell me about your professional experience. 2. Frequent job hopping (why I left last 3 companies?) 3. Any professional achievement I am proud of? 4. Why MBA? Short-term career goal? 5. Why now? 6. In which three words would my colleagues describe me? 7. Any consistent and constructive piece of feedback I have received from my managers? I asked one question at last."

"Interviewer: Susan Mellage, adcom member. Absolutely conversational and she had the most comforting smile. Pro tip: Be as natural and engaging as you can. Tone modulation when you describe your story, ups and downs is very imp. Smile, smile, smile! 1. Introduction and professional background 2. How would MBA help you grow in your career? (Explain post MBA goals and make sure to emphasize on what made you realise that an MBA is imperative to achieve those goals) 3. What are you looking to get from Goizueta MBA? -Bonus points if you can find your resume twin and paint a picture of their path and thereby you have a good chance to follow similar-ish career path. -For internationals: STEM is an attraction -I’m from healthcare background and made sure to bring up cross-collaboration opportunities with Emory healthcare centre and dual degree public policy students -Also mentioned about 1-2 professors of interest (Little nuances like these rather than just saying clubs of interest [e.g. be specific which event at the club or what activity of that club excites you] really impress adcoms tht you’ve done good homework about schools 4. Describe the most successful project that you worked on and what did you learn about yourself from it? 5. Outside work what excites you or keeps you occupied? Interview time: Approx 45 mins including 5 minutes to answer my questions. Good luck!"

"I had my interview with Jessica Page, Adcom member. She asked a standard set of questions. 1. 2 min on my professional career 2. Why do I want an MBA now? (Explained about career goals here) 3. What do you look for while selecting schools? How Goizueta became your choice? 4. How will you add value to our program? 5. What is your leadership style? 6. About a time when I worked with a difficult person 7. How will your colleagues describe you in 3 words 8. What will your colleagues say about your weaknesses Interview went for around 27 min and she took another 5 minutes to answer my questions. Thanks and All the best."

"I had my interview yesterday with Ms. Hope Crosson, who is an Assistant Director of the Admissions Committee. The interview was quite conversational with Ms. Crosson taking her notes during the interview. During outset she set the tone for the discussion informing that it will be around 20 minutes. The discussion was on regular topics. The discussion revolved around the below mentioned: 1. Tell me about yourself starting from your under-graduation in either a chronological or reverse chronological order. 2. Tell me about your long term and short term goals. Why do you want to pursue MBA? 3. Why Goizueta for MBA? 4. How would your colleagues and team mates describe you? 5. What is your management or leadership style? 6. Hobbies and out of work interests. 7. Do you want to inform anything additional to the Admissions Committee or have any questions for me? I asked few questions which she answered enthusiastically. Total time of interview was around 25-30 minutes including the questions asked by me. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a positive outcome. I send a thank you note after 6 hours. Have interviews scheduled at Cornell and Kellogg within this week. Will post my interview debriefs as soon as possible. Best of luck to everyone!!!"

"Had interview with Heather Holland from the Admissions team. The interview was pretty chill - no stress / career / case study type questions. 1. How did you get your first job after graduation? was it just on-campus or something else? 2. How and why did you make the shift from startup to consulting? 3. Why MBA? What do you hope to achieve? 4. Which internship (company & role i mentioned) do you see yourself in after the programs? 5. What would you contribute to the learning team at the school? 6. Which place would you suggest I should go to if I am in Bangalore 7. Any questions for me. Couple of points to note: 1. Heather is a frequent traveller to India and even interviews Indians when she comes over (typically in Jan). So, she knows the ground reality of about Indian Engineering scene and what the top colleges are..So I would suggest be careful while talking about your undergrad extracurriculars 2. Be clear in your mind about which company and role you want to join after mba - Heather was really appreciative when I mentioned the company, role and the location as well. 3. Be clear on how you can contribute to Goizueta (professional and outside of the class). I was asked in my interview on what will you contribute outside of the class Overall it was a very chill interview - Heather was wonderful to speak to. Be cool and have confidence - ATB"

"It was a very conversational interview. I was asked the regular questions 1). Walk me through your resume 2). Why MBA 3). Why Emory 4). What is exciting about your job? 5). Where would you take me if I visit your city(I guess this was asked since I had visited Atlanta and we spoke about Atlanta for a while) 6). Any questions for me Hoping for the admit!!!"

"Well, not really good. I have technical problems so it took away few minutes. I felt terrible abt that. 1. Tell me about you 2-3 Explained why I left my jobs ( I did 3 jobs in 4 years) 4. Goals. I gave a bad answer by not being straightforward 4. Why MBA 5. Why Emory 6. What you can contribute ?"

"Interviewed with Sr Adcom over video. Interview lasted 32 minutes as they have very tight schedules. You will get around 10 minutes to ask Qs. Very relaxed tbh. Interview is going to be very conversational and there were no curveballs as such. Not your typica Q&A style. 1) About work (specific reasons for some points mentioned) 2) Goals 3) Why MBA? Why emory? 4) Industry related trends 5) Leadership example 6) My personal stuff: hobbies, some personal behavioral questions related to my hobbies. I asked a question or two and then it was time up! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Fingers crossed."

"Hey Guys, I apologize for posting this debrief so late. I scheduled my own on-campus interview. I had already submitted my application by then. I was interviewed by Heather Holland. She had gone through my resume. Overall it was a pretty chill interview. It started casually. During the start of my career, I had worked in Mumbai. She had just visited Mumbai. I told her how I miss the place, now that I had been away for more than 3 years. (Leopold cafe & Colaba Social). I was asked a few personal questions such as below:- 1. After my graduation, there was a gap of around 9 months. I was just waiting for my offer letter since I was placed within my college itself. So I had to explain that to her. 2. Most of my experience is international, so I was asked some questions along that line. Comparing Indian Managers with US Managers. 3. What challenges I faced when I first started here in the US. 4. How would I prepare myself as I plan to move to Atlanta from New York City? Other questions were generally the usual ones. 1. Why MBA? 2. Short term goals. 3. Why Goizueta? 4. "I had my interview at Emory. The interview was very pleasant, and I actually enjoyed speaking with the member of the adcom. Some of the questions I remember 1. How did you decide on your current company 2. Why did you pick your undergrad 3. ST/LT goals 4. example of leadership example? 5. why Goizueta 6. any questions for me? A lot of follow up's based on how I responded so I do not remember the other questions. PREPARE! But just know your resume and story. Like I said, it was a great conversation."

"The interview was with an AdCom Member and was very conversational and the interviewer went in blind (had not seen my application or essays). Some of the questions I was asked were: 1. Tell me about yourself/background 2. Post MBA-Goal short and long term 3. What's something unique about you that you will bring to the program 4. How would you give back to Goizueta as an alumnus 5. Talk about a time you lead a team and what you learned. There were other questions but I can't remember them."
