Center * Pearson VUE GMAT Test Center
Location London, United Kingdom
I took my 2nd GMAT exam in the Pearson Testing venue in the London Dockyards, on the 3rd of October 2018. I had a pleasant experience there, with the proctors being very friendly. This center administers a variety of exams and I had actually visited this center one day for my online multiple-choice Driving test. I saw a couple of people taking the GMAT in the center and immediately decided that I would take mine in this center.
The test center is conveniently located and is very easy to find. The staff were polite, respectful, and friendly. The day I took the exam, I was the only person taking the GMAT, and so, I did not have any issues with noise or other disturbances. The only thing with this center is that sometimes the traffic might make it hard to be on time. So, if you are relaying on the buses or the metro or the DLR, please plan to be there 30 minutes in advance.
I would highly recommend people in London to go for this center if this is close to your house.

Both test centres have multiple exams taking place so be aware that both centres are relatively busy.
Docklands centre given its location is less polished and more run down. The testing room for GMAT is very small (4 desks) and I did not have a pleasant experience interacting with the staff there
Holborn is a more standardised environment and much larger. Given the surrounding area it is busier however it is located very close to the station and therefore it is more accessible than the docklands centre.
The Holborn testing location also has much larger rooms and a isolated waiting area with lockers. Restroom facilities are also much better. I would recommend you to sit the GMAT at Holborn centre

I was taking my third GMAT in London, High Holborn. I took other two GMAT in two different locations, and I can say that this is the best place among three.
1. Easy to access and easy to find. I stayed in Hyde Park, and only need less than 30 minutes using underground. Just 5 minutes walking from exit Holborn Underground Station.
2. I think all of the Pearson staffs were polite and respectful, no big issue about it.
3. Because of the location, I could find many test-takers. I think I met with more than 10 test takers here. Pearson provides three separate rooms for all of us. Everything was perfect, no issue.
Overall, I was satisfied. I am taking my fourth GMAT again in this center. Wish me luck!

So just to say that the London testing centre is finally worth the ridiculously high price tag we pay for the GMAT. They finally give you proper large notebooks with 10 pages as opposed to 5 pages they would give out before. The staff seemed a lot more professional and they actually seemes to understand the stress test takes are going through and try to make your life easy.
My first testing experience was in early 2012 was not very good. The proctor was a disaster, following the rules to the letter and just doing everything possible to make the testing experience miserable. She would even walk as slowly as possible with a new pad instead of running to get it to you. The finale was having the aircon blowing over my head, ended up taking the rest of the day sick as I was unable to move my neck
When I retook my exam in March 2013 it was really good. Staff seemed a lot more reasonable and cooler, would rush to you with a clean booklet as opposed to walk as slowly as possible, etc. The 10 pager booklet made a huge difference as I have large handwriting!

Parking facility : None AKA in central London? Bwahahahaha!
Invigilator Reviews : Polite, efficient - did not offer to test pen ;)
Environment : Quiet, desk approx 1.5m square with high dividers. No ear plugs provided but headphones are present (I guess for tests that need them)
Additional Info : Test scratch pad was not like the one shown here. It was in fact laminated white A4 sheets with a heavy black grid sectioned into rectangles about 10mm x 7mm. I forgot to count how many pages were provided but there were at least 10 sides which was more than adequate.

Do's & Don't s : Don't change your routine based on what worked for other people.
