Also, we request all the admits to briefly share their profile details like test scores, GPA, location, scholarship, goals etc. We would like to compile all the admit profiles into a topic so prospective applicants will get an idea about what type of profiles can get into McCombs. Thank you.

The questions are on your goals, why McCombs, and few behavioral questions

You can look up past questions and then can prepare based on these questions.

We usually forget to discuss international loans for MBA.
Those who will take an international student loan, is the Prodigy Finance (PF) only option? PF gives it with 14% rate and it means the costs of Mccombs is around 250 000 if you are going to take a loan for the tuition fee only.
How does an average international Mccombs grad handle this loan in post-MBA?
Any discussion is appreciated!

They provide non collateral loans... So the interest rate is a bit high

Does McCombs require offical gmat score to be sent in order to process the application?

I think so and that’s what the application website says. It is a good idea to send ur score to McCombs

The overall cost of attendance is around 83k. For two years, it should be around 166k. Obviously there is some processing fee, but i don’t think it will be an additional 90k

Few other options are - whether you can work with banks in ur country - this will get attractive if the home currency delreciates in the repayment period. Second, try to get floating rates - we are almost close the peak of the interest rate cycle. When the money printing starts again, floating rates should come down drastically

Whatever I say involves a lot of speculation - you can use it as a guideline to think and evaluate ur best option with some professional counselor

I am not sure whether you are from India, but if you are an Indian, few nbfc do give loans without collateral. I did come across those adds on Google. You can check whether those options can be evaluated

Last, you can go through the employment report and evaluate if your dream job will enable you to pay back ur loan.

For the other folks - if the money printing starts in the US, is it possible for a working alien to refinance the prodigy loan at a cheaper rate if available. Prodigy does not change foreclosure charges - the interest burden will come down substantially if you can refinance ur loan at a cheaper rate.

Guys ! One cautionary note. The things I’ve said are speculate and in certain situations can increase the interest rate burden. Take these comments with a pinch of salt and approach a financial planner for professional advice

*speculative

Should Indian students apply in the R4?

Apr 2 at 12:59am

Definitely not

Apr 2 at 05:36pm

I got withdrawn due to unavailability of transcripts at the time of decision. I had negotiated with the adcom that I would receive the transcripts within a couple of weeks but no luck

No, AdCom said no international students in R4 bc of visa processing

all application related formalities are completed for me. Do I as an international applicant provide any further details in GIAC portal regarding housing, financial aid and international student tab? or is it to be done after the decision is made?

I don’t have an admit from McCombs so my knowledge on this is limited. Given that others have not responded, can you reach out to the adcom ?
