Hi SamCodes,
Thanks for posting your profile! I like that there are a lot of strengths in your profile - strong academic track record (undergrad results), positive work trajectory in a traditionally male-dominated industry (MVP award, increasing responsibilities), and active extracurriculars showing leadership initiative.

To answer your questions:

1. I would like to understand what is my current chance of getting into the MBA college of my choice as mentioned above?

Answer: Not knowing your final GMAT score, it's a bit hard for me to make an estimate. But assuming that you can score around the average GMAT score of the most selective school on your list (GSB) - 730 - I think your profile is competitive. To get an estimate of your chances at each school, you can use their average acceptance rate as a benchmark. Eg. for GSB, the average acceptance rate is 6%, so your chances are going to be close to that (if you meet their average student profile). For a school like Kellogg, their average acceptance rate is between 15-20%, so your chances will likely be close to that.

2. How can I improve my chance of getting into the colleges of my choice?

Answer: Continue doing well at work, step into leadership roles if possible eg. if there are Women in Leadership or recruiting committees that you can join at work, this will show even more leadership roles. Also, your GMAT is an important factor, so don't underestimate the time needed to get the score you want.

3. Based on my current profile which are the colleges I have a chance to get into?

Answer: I think your profile (assuming you get 730+ GMAT) is competitive at all the schools on your list.

4. Does GRE or GMAT have advantage over the other? What should be my target scores for each of these exams, incase I have to get enrolled in the MBA college of my choice?

Answer: The schools accept both GRE and GMAT; there is no preference for either test. You can look up each school's average GRE or GMAT score to see what is considered "competitive" for that school.

I hope this is helpful to you! If you would like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!

Sincerely,
Debbie
