Seoul Pearson GMAT Test Center Review

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

For Seoul Pearson GMAT test center, I give 3 stars out of 5 stars.

1. Location:
Location could not be better if you are living in norther part of Seoul or Gangbuk as locals call it. It is within 5 minutes walk from Seoul City Hall subway station which makes it convinient to approach. Also, there is a huge Starbucks on ground floor where you can stay to relax and prepare before the test. On the left to the entrance of the building is a 7 Eleven so you can purchase some fruit or snack to be eaten later during break as well.

2. Center it self:
This is where some stars come off. Let me first tell you that I do not mean the facility is bad. It is very clean and quiet and room temparature is just fine so that you can take test without any discomfort.

However, the atmospher is way too strict. There is an automatic lock in the center door which can only be opened by the staff if you are outside (If you are inside, you can open it yourself with a button but a staff will still have to re-open it for you when you want to come back in). So even if you want to visit the rest room during break, there is unnecessary time loss because you have to wait until the door is opened by the staff. I think it is due to this reason that the staffs strongly tell you that even though the break is 8 mins, we are to comeback within 5 mins.

Another problem is that the center itself is small and will probably hold about 30 people maximum. (There are two test rooms each with about 15 people) Since you are booking your exam beforehand anyway, there is no problem of taking the test on the day. However, because of its size, it takes so much time to get security check before the test. So I suggest you arrive to the center at least 40 mins if you are on tight schedule or you are probably going to be delayed because your test will start late.

In short, it is not a bad center but being small and too strict, it is not optimal for test attendees who are already under enough stress. Sad truth though is that this is the only center in Seoul so if you are in Seoul, this is your only option.
