So, the school is located in the city known as Jamshedpur and you can find a lot of new things there. Life is really different here apart from the school itself as it's one the first planned cities in India. Coming to the XLRI it's the best and lie perfectly with any top IIM in the country. Faculty's their experience and the overall environment provide the best atmosphere for entrepreneurship as well as knowledge enrichment.
Placements are the best as being the only good management college available in this region but the name XLRI in itself speaks and I think no none from here get any type of bummer in getting job at any company until you r from the same field.

When I got through the admission process, I was unsure of joining the program as I was targeting admissions in next admission cycle.But, when I started probing about the program and when I met few of alumni in the industry, I became more informed about the pros and cons of the program. All the alumni told me few things straight:
1. If someone is having experience in the range 5-7 years, this program is one of the best one to study.
2. If someone comes from Operation or IT background, this program has lot of value add to offer.
Above 2 points don't mean that people not satisfying above 2 reasons will be at any disadvantage, but every year the class has more people(approx 70%) from these 2 sectors(IT/Ops) and hence one can get an idea of the batch mix.The admission process tries to have a diverse batch ensuring that people with banking/engineering/medical and other sectors are also get representation adding to the over all peer learning of the batch.The campus life is abuzz with various extra-curricular activities of various committees and clubs and one can find multiple avenues to follow their interest areas.
The professors of XLRI are one of the best in India and do a lot of consulting assignments for various MNCs. Hearing the real life business problems from different and their solution is all together a different experience, which is a must for experienced professionals trying to maximise their learning in a one year MBA program.
The college placements witness plethora of good roles from industry in the rolling placement process and one gets enough placement assistance to take a role based on their interest.
